After nearly four decades of advancing STEM education for secondary schools, the National Consortium of Secondary STEM Schools (NCSSS) is leading the way once again. We’re excited to announce our evolution as the National Consortium of STEM Schools (NCSS), expanding our strengths to K-12 and district offices.

This extension is more than a name change. It embraces all grade levels and districts. It will redefine how we reach and develop the next generation of innovators and problem solvers, enabling us to build an integrated, collaborative network of support for K through 12, for established and emerging programs.

Informed by conversations and feedback received this past year from a wide array of constituents, we believe current and new members will have more opportunities to share ideas and collaborate to create exceptional STEM-centric best practices. Our strategic partners and university members will be able to engage on a broader scale with districts and schools at all grade levels.

Early exposure to STEM concepts and career pathways is critical to unlocking the potential of students from all backgrounds.

By building foundational STEM skills early in a child’s education, we widen the pipeline of well-prepared learners ready to engage with more rigorous STEM instruction in later years. We will expand awareness of emerging career paths, ultimately developing future generations of skilled, workforce-ready STEM professionals.

Prominent STEM secondary schools widely recognize us as the longest-established foundational leader in advancing STEM education. Through this bold expansion to a comprehensive K-12 focus, we are reaffirming our steadfast commitment to excellence in STEM education. We invite you to join us.
