Announcing Dr. Ann N. Bonitatibus as the Next NCSS Executive Director

Dear National Consortium of STEM Schools Community,

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Ann N. Bonitatibus as the next Executive Director of the National Consortium of STEM Schools.

Ann’s selection comes after a lengthy and thorough search process conducted by the board. Throughout this search, we received over 40 applications from exceptional candidates across the country. Ann distinguished herself through her extraordinary leadership experience, vision, and lifelong commitment to STEM education.

We are particularly proud and honored to welcome Ann back into our community. As a former President of the NCSS Board, Superintendent of Conejo Valley Unified School District in California, Chief Operating Officer of Frederick County Public Schools in Maryland, and Principal of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Northern Virginia, she brings deep expertise and a proven track record in advanced STEM education. Throughout her career, she has consistently demonstrated an ability to innovate, empower educators, and expand opportunities for students.

Ann steps into this role at a pivotal moment. We are immensely excited for the vision, passion, and strategic leadership she will bring as she guides NCSS into its next chapter.

Honoring Outgoing Executive Director Todd Mann

As we prepare for this exciting transition, we also want to express our profound gratitude to Todd Mann. As NCSS’ first Executive Director, Todd’s dedication and leadership over the past 13 years have laid a strong foundation for NCSS and built the vibrant community we enjoy today. We invite NCSS members and partners to join us in honoring Todd’s extraordinary contributions at our Annual Conference in San Diego this December. There will be an opportunity to celebrate Todd’s legacy and thank him for his years of service.

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Dr. Ann N. Bonitatibus as she assumes her new leadership role on December 1st, and we look forward to celebrating with you all in San Diego!

Regards,

Lisette S. Morris
